The ISP Forms Button


This button can be used in several ways and is integral to getting accurate and safe links to the media files you want to collect. The central functionality of this button is to pull out media file information and hypertext links from the current webpage and display the information in a set of tables which allow you to choose which information to add to your fusker collection.

The following sections discusses how the ISP Form is created and presented.

Image Surfer Pro Forms

The ISP Form button extracts the information from the webpage in the current IE browser window and generates a custom webpage based on that information. The current browser window is then re-directed to this custom webpage.

The custom webpage generated consists of a header and four tables. Each table is dedicated to a particular type of information found on the original page and has a different border color to help distinguish the type of data presented in the table. The tables are always presented in the following order:

Forms Tab
The configurations on the Forms tab of the User Preferences window allow you to configure what check boxes are selected by default when and ISP Form is generated by the Process Page button from Image Surfer Pro toolbar button. These configurations can be easily overridden by the use of the check boxes on the form.

Adding Images To Collection:
These configurations correspond to the "Add all images to collection" check box at the top of the left hand column of the Images Table and "Add all direct image references to collection" check boxes at the top of right hand column on the Images Table and Text Table. You can have these boxes checked by default with ISP Forms are generated.

Adding Videos To Collection:
These configurations correspond to the "Add all videos to collection" check box at the top of the Videos Table and "Add all direct video references to collection" check boxes at the top of right hand column on the Images Table and Text Table. You can have these boxes checked by default with ISP Forms are generated.

Adding Frames To Collection:
This configuration corresponds to the "Add all frames to collection" check box at the top of the Frames Table. You can have this box checked by default with ISP Forms are generated.

Choosing Links To Search
These two configurations correspond to the two "Search All" check boxes on the ISP Form at the top of the right hand column of the Images Table and Text Table. You can choose to automatically check one or both by default when ISP forms are generated.

Differences in Free and Full Versions

Media File Count The table generated by the Free version of Image Surfer Pro will only access the first 20 images and 2 videos/frames found in the original webpage.

Image Surfer Pro Forms
The table generated by the Free version of Image Surer Pro contains only the first 20 images and up to 2 videos/frames along with the associated links from the website and no selection check boxes. The free verison provides safer and more private surfing as well as a way to continue browsing in the same window and obtain direct image links, but does not provide advanced processing by the Process Page button from Image Surfer Pro toolbar button.

The ISP Forms button and the Image Surfer Pro forms it creates can be used for many differnet purposes. The following examples will walk you through examples from the very basic to the more advanced.
